Alaska Gasline Port Authority Board Vacancy

The City of Valdez is soliciting applications for (1) vacancy on the Alaska Gasline Port Authority Board. The appointment shall be for a 4 year term which will expire on November 31, 2018.

City Board and Commission application forms are available on the City of Valdez website at http://www.ci.valdez.ak.us and at Valdez City Hall. Applications must include a resume and letter of interest addressed to the Mayor and City Council.

The Valdez City Council appoints three representatives to sit on the Board of Directors for the Alaska Gasline Port Authority (AGPA). Board members must be a registered voter within the State of Alaska, reside within the State of Alaska, and shall serve at the pleasure of the governing body of the Municipality by whom such member is appointed.

Application packets must be submitted to the Office of the City Clerk no later than Tuesday, February 18th at 5:00 PM for appointment by the Mayor and City Council on Tuesday, February 25, 2014.

CITY OF VALDEZ

PERMANENT FUND INVESTMENT COMMITTEE VACANCIES

The City of Valdez is accepting applications from citizens who are interested in serving as a member of the City Permanent Fund Investment Committee. Currently there are two vacancies on the board due to a resignation and an expiration of term. These members shall be appointed to represent the community-at-large. One vacancy is for a two (2) year term which will expire November, 2016; the second vacancy is for a three (3) year term which will expire November, 2017.

The Permanent Fund Investment Committee consists of the city manager, the city finance director, and three members of the city council, three members from the community at-large, and an ex-officio member. The committee meets at least quarterly to determine general investment strategies and monitor results of the City Permanent Fund.

Please submit a letter of interest to the Office of the City Clerk no later than Tuesday, November 18, 2014 for appointment by the City Council on Tuesday, November 25, 2014.
