Obituary: Andrea Harrison-Zeringue
Andrea Belle Harrison-Zeringue, age 61, died Sunday, Sept, 6 from injuries sustained in a one vehicle accident in Phoenix, Arizona.
Andrea was born June 22, 1954 in Valdez to parents Robert and Faye Day-Harrison of Dayville. Her grandparents were Oma and Andrew Day. After completing high school in Valdez, she attended the University of Arizona in Tempe, Arizona. Upon returning to Alaska, she was employed by Alyeska and later by ARCO, where she met her husband, Wayne Zeringue. They married on January 7, 1994 in Lake Tahoe, Nevada and raised two beautiful children, son Taylor and daughter, Alexa.
At one period in Andrea’s adventure seeking life, she embarked on a two-year sailing trip to exotic parts of the world such as the South Pacific, New Zealand, Tahiti, and Hawaiian Islands. We all enjoyed, and will always remember her sparkling eyes, big smile and bursts of laughter as she shared stories of her life. Andrea enjoyed life to its fullest and shared that zest for life with everyone she was around. You couldn’t help but smile and feel good. She had that effect on you. It was a characteristic “uniquely Andrea,” along with that great ability to “laugh at herself." She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne; son Taylor; daughter, Alexa Zeringue;
mother Faye Day-Harrison; brother Steve Harrison; sister-in-law Deborah; and sister Cyndi-Harrison-Hubner; brother-in-law James; sister Bonnette Cooper (husband Richard); nephews John, Cale, Cameron, Harrison, Jameson; and nieces Chelsea and Jenny; Aunt Gloria; and so many close cousins, too numerous to name but loving just the same
She is preceded in death by grandparents, Oma and Andrew Day, and father, Robert
A small “celebration of life” will be held on Sunday, September 20, on the Alaskan Spirit and the Glacier Island.
