Pursuant to AS 46.15 and rules and regulations promulgated there under, public notice is hereby given that an application has been received from the Copper Valley Electric Association to appropriate water as follows:

Up to 80 cubic feet per second from Allison Creek located approximately 5 miles south of Valdez, Section 19, Township 9 South, Range 6 West, Copper River Meridian for a hydroelectric dam. All water in excess of 80 cubic feet per second will be returned to Allison Creek at the diversion. Base flows (bypass flows) vary by season and are included as part of the license from the Federal Energy and Regulatory Commission (FERC). The holder of this permit must adhere to all conditions in FERC license P – 13124.

The public is invited to comment on these actions. Any facts tending to show that the rights of any person or the public interest would be adversely affected by the proposed water appropriation must be submitted in writing to the Water Resources Section by 5:00 p.m. June 5, 2015, at the above address to be considered. Comments that might assist the Water Resources Section in its determination of the public interest pursuant to AS 46.15.080 are also requested and must be received in writing by the above deadline. In order to establish appeal rights regarding this decision, you are required by law to meaningfully participate in the decision process by commenting on the decision, in writing, prior to the comment deadline. If issued, permits may be extended for good cause shown, pursuant to AS 46.15.110 and 11 AAC 93.120(f), without additional public notice. Notice of Intent to Evaluate Oil and Gas Exploration License Proposal, and Request for Comments and Proposals

The State of Alaska, Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil and Gas (DO&G) intends to evaluate the acceptability of an oil and gas exploration license proposal in the Gulf of Alaska area. The proposed exploration license area consists of state-owned, unencumbered land within T. 19 S., R. 4-7 and 13-18 E., T. 20 S., R. 4-8, 10-18, and 611 E., T. 21 S., R. 5-20 and 611 E., T. 22 S., R. 5-23 E., T. 23 S., R. 4-7 and 20-23 E., T. 24 S., R. 4-6 E., and T. 25 S., R. 4-5 Copper River Meridian. DO&G requests additional exploration license proposals within the solicitation area. To be considered, notices of intent to submit a proposal must be received by 5:00 pm on June 20, 2015 and proposals must be received by 5:00 pm on July 20, 2015.

DO&G also requests comments on the exploration license proposal. To be considered, comments on the exploration license proposal must be received by 5:00 pm on June 20, 2015.
