Obituary: Todd Blinman

Todd Blinman

Todd Blinman passed away on Saturday, September 4, from complications due to illness. The love of his life and best friend, Tricia, was by his side.

Todd was born on November 21, 1963 in Sacramento, California and grew up in Concord. He loved to be outside in nature and his passions were cooking, fishing and music - his favorite band growing up was KISS. He spent his youth with his grandfather in Lake Tahoe going fishing and they were some of his best memories. He also loved the ocean, especially Santa Cruz, where he and friends would go boogey boarding and walking the railroad tracks to the boardwalk.

Todd came to Alaska in December 2008 and loved the beauty he found here.

He is survived by his father Cliff Blinman, brother Randy Blinman and sister Jeannie Blinman and his nieces Kim, Katy, Jessica, Naomi and Aliya. He is preceded in death by his mother, Norma Blinman, and his Grandpa Chappell.

Todd was a loving man who always wore his heart on his sleeve and he will be missed greatly by everyone who knew him. There will be a gathering for Todd on Sunday September 13 at 1 p.m. We will meet at the Ferry Dock where Todd loved to spend time and then proceed to the Mariners room at the Best Western to share memories and stories of Todd and his life. Please come and bring music to share your memories and thoughts with us in his honor.
