Project: RFQ - Construction Management & Inspection Services

A. Overview

1. The purpose of this document is to solicit qualifications from professional consultants to provide construction management, owner’s representation, inspection services and related professional services for a portfolio of City projects. Project specifics will be outlined below. The suite of projects includes both horizontal and vertical construction. The City reserves the right to select qualified candidates and/or firms on a project by project basis that is most beneficial to the City. The Consultant will report to the respective City Project Manager and will be responsible for assisting with design development and value engineering where applicable. The period of performance begins with pre-construction and will continue throughout project completion. The anticipated duration will be for the 2018 construction season (roughly April through December).

B. Submissions and Inquiries

Valdez encourages disadvantaged, minority and women-owned consultant firms to respond.

Amelia Estrada d/b/a Ernertos Taqueria located at 328 Egan Dr. is applying for transfer of a Restaurant Eating Place AS 04.11.100 liquor license to Rick Simpson, Jereme Wesley, Brandon Killian d/b/a/ The Stampmill.

Interested persons should submit written comment to their local governing body, the applicant and to the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board at 550 West 7th Ave, Suite 1600, Anchorage AK 99501.




The City of Valdez mailed Property Tax Assessment notices to all property owners of record on Thursday, March 1, 2018.

To appeal the assessed valuation of property, all appeals must be filed in writing on forms provided by the City of Valdez. Appeal forms are now available at the front desk of City Hall, 212 Chenega Avenue, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The deadline for filing property tax assessment appeals to the Board of Equalization is Friday March 30, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.
